From Scarcity to Freedom

Rewriting My Story With Money

I grew up on a council estate where money always felt like something other people had. It was something to chase, something to stretch, something that caused arguments behind closed doors. I watched people work hard, really hard, and still never feel safe or free.

Then my dad started making money, real money. But what I noticed was that even when the circumstances changed, the energy didn’t. The fear of not having enough was still there. The need to hold on tight, to control, to worry. That’s when I realized something important.

Money doesn’t change your mindset. Your mindset changes your money.

Even when there’s more coming in, if your energy is still rooted in lack, it will never feel like enough. You’ll still feel the panic when bills come in. You’ll still question if you deserve it. You’ll still wait for it to disappear.

For a long time, that was me, too. I carried those beliefs: that struggle was normal, that wanting more made me greedy, that success was for other people. I would sabotage myself without even realizing it. Undercharge. Overgive. Prove my worth by working harder, longer, and giving more than I have.

I built careers and helped other people make money, but deep down, I didn’t feel safe to do the same for myself. I’d feel guilty for wanting freedom, for wanting luxury, for wanting more.

It took me years to understand that this wasn’t just about business. It was about healing the generational stories I’d inherited about money, power, and worth. Especially as a woman.

Because if we’re honest, it still feels easier for men. Society celebrates their success. They’re called ambitious, driven, and focused. But when women rise, we’re told to tone it down. To be humble. To not want too much. And that energy lingers; it lives in our nervous systems, in the way we ask for payment, in the way we say, “Oh, it’s fine” when we should be saying, “This is my rate.”

So I started rewriting my story.

I stopped making money for other people and started building it for myself. I stopped asking for permission to be wealthy. I stopped equating struggle with worthiness. I began to see money as energy, as something that expands when you’re in your purpose and contracts when you’re out of alignment.

That shift changed everything.

Money became a mirror of my inner work. The more I trusted myself, the more it flowed. The more I released guilt, the more I received. And that freedom, that energetic and financial freedom, is what allowed me to move to Bali and create a life that feels expansive, intentional, and free.

Now, money doesn’t control me. It supports me. It gives me choices. It gives me peace.

If you’re reading this and you’ve ever felt guilty for wanting more, please know you’re not wrong for desiring abundance. You’re not wrong for wanting to break cycles. You’re not wrong for dreaming of wealth, freedom, and ease.

It’s not selfish to be rich in purpose, in alignment, and in money. It’s your birthright.

We don’t heal lack by playing small. We heal it by expanding, by leading, by showing others what’s possible when we decide to be the first in our family to change the story.

If I can do it, so can you.

You can choose wealth without guilt. You can be spiritual and abundant. You can live freely, fully, and unapologetically, and let money flow to you as a reflection of your worth.

Because you are the energy.

You are the channel.

And when you rise, the world does too.

If you’re ready to heal your money story and align your energy with abundance, book a session with me, and let’s shift it together.
